This involves conveying information about product variations and accurately monitoring their location within the facility, even as they move outside the premises over long distances.

The optimal solution for addressing these needs involves attaching a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)/GPS-enabled tag onto each product. This device detects beacons placed at various workstations within the assembly plant, ensuring precise tracking of the product’s movements while inside. Once the assembly is complete, the product leaves the production floor to be stored outside and loses connection with the last beacon, the attached tag seamlessly transitions to GPS tracking. When the product leaves the plant, the tracker is retrieved, wirelessly charged and reused from the start of the production line.

Implementing this solution led to significant enhancements in production oversight and operational efficiency. Each product was tagged with a unique code, facilitating separate data storage, logging, and updates. This real-time knowledge of every product’s journey through the assembly line and beyond empowers proactive management in assembly and distribution processes. Consequently, the end user achieved substantial time savings, reduced human errors, and an overall boost in productivity.
